Ways to Wash Your Hair:
1.) Wash it Like a Clock Work
The best time to get hair wash is after every alternate day. It has been found that the scalp releases a natural oil which is beneficial for our hair though your hair might look flat. The best time to get a proper wash is when the natural oil from the scalp reaches the ends. Too much use of shampoo results to damaged, dry and frizzy hair. At times if you feel that your hair is too greasy and untamed you can use a dry shampoo for styling.
2.) Rinse your Hair with Warm Water
To start your hair wash firstly, rinse your hair with warm water. This is very important and the initial step to get a hair wash. If you have warm water it is best to rinse your hair with warm water as it helps to open the cuticle, which is good for removing any dirt or unwanted product from your hair. In addition to this, it also helps you to get rid of the excess oil without using much shampoo.
2.) For Long Hair Use Conditioner
It might sound crazy but there is a strong logic behind the trick of using a conditioner before you wash your hair. If you have long hair then use a small amount of conditioner on the length of your hair. Later rinse it lightly and apply shampoo for hair wash. This will fill the cuticle with moisture and make your hair smooth and shiny. It saves your hair from the harsh chemicals.
3.) Start From the Scalp to the Roots
When you start using shampoo on your hair, you should be particular about the nape. The hair at the root is the closest to the scalp so the one which absorbs the maximum oil. So wash the roots properly, that does not mean that you need to use more shampoo. It means that you should not neglect the roots they are important.
4.) Use Your Fingers to Massage
Use your fingers to give a gentle massage to your scalp. This will help you to clean the scalp properly. Use your fingers all over the scalp. Do not use circular motion this will tangle your hair, rather wash it in vertical strokes with medium pressure.
5.) Washing the Medium Length Hair
After the roots comes the medium length of your hair. For a proper hair wash, you should go from the roots and gradually towards the tips. For the hair at the medium length, you need to gradually get down from the roots at the back then use your palm to wash your hair. If at times you fill like you are running short of shampoo, you can add a decent amount of shampoo. Take a little amount of shampoo in your palm and place the hair in between the palm and gradually wash them by rubbing the palms gently. Do not put too much pressure this might damage the hair so rub gently.
6.) Wash the Ends
In a similar way wash off the end section of your hair. This section does not need much of shampoo as it does not absorb the oil from your scalp. So when you wash the middle length of your hair rub the hair gently by placing it between the palm. Continue it till the ends of the hair.
7.) Rinse Your Hair Properly
After you are done with the hair wash its time to rinse away the shampoo. It is very important to wash away all the shampoo. Left away shampoo may cause damage to your hair and make them brittle. The shampoo contains a harmful chemical which is not good if they remain on the strands.
8.) Condition Your Hair
Now you need to use a conditioner. Squeeze the perfect amount of conditioner for your hair and apply it on the damp hair from the mid-length to the tips. You can clip your hair and leave it for 2-3 minutes. Try to keep your conditioner for a long time this will help your hair to absorb the moisture and make them softer, shinier and silkier. Do not condition the roots this will wash away the natural oil from your scalp.
9.) Wash Using Cold Water
Warm water opens up the hair cuticles while the cold water helps to seal them. Like we need to close the pores of our skin to protect from external damage similarly we need to close the hair cuticle to protect our hair from external factors and damages. The cold water rinse seals the outer layer of the hair so that your hair looks healthier and shinier.
10.) Use a Serum After You Wash Your Hair
Let your hair towel dry but please do not wrap the towel for long as it absorbs the moisture and causes dry, dull hair. Use a protective serum on your damp hair. Take a few drop of serum on your palm and apply on your hair from mid-length to till the tip.
