1.) Lemons to Lighten Dyed Hair

Lemon is a natural bleaching agent. It can also be used to lighten dyed hair. All you need to do is to dilute half cup of lemon juice with half cup of distilled water. Use this mix to get rid of the dye. Apply this on the hair and leave it for 10-15 minutes. After that you can wash the hair off this will help you to lighten the hair color. Do this 2-3 times a day for the purpose.

2.) Apple Cider Vinegar to Lighten Dyed Hair

Vinegar can also fulfill this purpose, it is very simple to use, all you need to do is mix  equal amount of apple cider vinegar and distilled water. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and spray it all over your hair. You can also apply it to your hair using a damp cotton. Leave the solution on the hair for half an hour, later rinse the hair properly.

3.) Hydrogen Peroxide to Lighten Dyed Hair

For best results you can use hydrogen peroxide on your hair. If you have dyed hair it does not work on it rather it adds another shade to your dyed hair. You will need to dilute peroxide with water. Take equal amount of peroxide and water and mix them well. You can put this mix in a spray bottle or pour it into a spray bottle. Spray the liquid on the hair evenly. Be careful while spraying the liquid and avoid contact with your eyes. Cover it with a cloth and spray from a distance of about a foot. Avoid going out under the sun and keep it for 30 minutes. Later wash your hair and yes do not forget to use a deep conditioner to your hair. This will help you moisturize your hair as the peroxide tends to make your hair dry.

You will be surprised to know that chamomile can be used to lighten your hair color. It is simple and all you need to do is make a strong cup of chamomile herbal tea and let it cool down. Later apply this on the hair using a cotton ball. Since its good for skin to you can just use it to rinse your hair after hair wash. Go out under the sun and let it dry. You can also continue your home chores for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes wash it off.

5.) Use Henna to Lighten Dyed Hair

Henna is herbal agent mostly used for conditioning and coloring the hair, but the fact is that also darkens the dark brown and black hair. It gives a reddish highlight. For using henna you will need 3 tablespoons of henna powder and a cup of boiling water. Mix them well and apply it the strands you want to lighten. After applying keep it for 3-4 hours and wash it off. This will help you to lighten dyed hair.

Honey can also be a helpful agent for this purpose. All you have to do is use honey with olive oil. Warm 1/4 cup of honey and add 1/2 cup of olive oil and mix them well. Now you can apply them to your hair as you wish to lighten. Apply it evenly do not forget the ends and leave it for 30-60 minutes. Later wash it off be sure that there is no residue left because the stickiness can irritate you.

7.) Baking Soda to Lighten Dyed Hair

You can also use baking soda with a clarifying shampoo for this purpose. The alkalinity of baking soda helps to open up the hair. Take 2 cups pf baking soda and 1/4 of clarifying shampoo in a plastic bowl. Mix them well to make a thin paste. Wash your hair with warm water and do not dry them. Rub the soda paste into the damp hair using a hair brush applying it evenly and leave for 5-10 minutes. The duration should depend on how much color you want to remove. Later wash it off and dry your hair to check the color of the hair.

8.) Vitamin C for Lightening Dyed Hair

You can use the beneficial properties of vitamin C to lighten your hair color. Make a paste of vitamin C and a mild shampoo for this purpose. Take 10-15 vitamin C tablets and crush them well make a powder out of it. Now collect the powder in a cup and add an anti-dandruff shampoo to the crushed tablet. Add appropriate amount so that you can make a fine paste out of it. Wash your hair with warm water and apply the paste on the damp hair using a hair brush. Leave the solution on your hair for a maximum time of 30 minutes and rinse well. Use a conditioner because your hair will become dry after the process if you skip conditioning.

9.) Use Cinnamon to Lighten Dyed Hair

Cinnamon can also be used to lighten dyed hair. All you have to do is take a 1/2 cup of normal conditioner and add cinnamon. Make a thick paste out of it and apply it to your hair. You can use your hand or a brush for this purpose. Apply the thick paste evenly do not neglect the ends. After applying leave it for 3-4 hours and wash it off well. After washing you will find your hair silkier and softer with a shade of lighter hair color. Again cinnamon is a natural sunscreen which protects your hair from the harsh sun rays.

10.) Rhubarb to Lighten Dyed Hair

It is also an old agent for lightening hair, all you need to do is take a 1/2 cup of chopped rhubarb and 2 cups of water. Boil the rhubarb in the water and strain out the juice, keep it to cool down. After it cools down apply the solution to your hair. Keep it for 10-15 minutes and wash it off properly. It contains pectin which will stick for long so you might need some extra effort to wash them off.
